The only thing that I prefer in the Roadsport over the R300 is the dashboard, more retro and attractive, specially the buttons. The white flat buttons on the Superlight really look a little out of place, although I suppose they are even better to use from a practical point of view, (improvement?). I wonder if you can order a R300 and ask them to install the traditional dashboard.

I've got a Duratec R300 with the new dash and I love it, but I wouldn't say it's significantly more practical than the old style dash with all the rocker switches. It does however look more modern and in keeping with the copious amounts of Carbon Fibre on the car. The switches are actually brushed aluminium rather than white per se and are very nice to use, but I can understand them not being everyone's cup of tea.

I imagine CC will let you spec your car with the old style dash instead, but bear in mind it may slightly reduce the resale value. Not a fact, just a hunch.

I'm a bit confussed about the variety of dashboards in the different model of Caterhams. This can also be due to the fact that the dashboards may have received some modifications through the years, and also because some of the photos I have seen correspond to cars built by their owners, who have customized it to their liking. I know these types of dashboards.

CSR. Totally different to the rest. Simply amazing. I love it.

R500. In carbon fiber, with the white stack (analog rev counter and digital lcd), and aluminium flat buttons next to the steering-weel. This not bad, but honestly I prefer old style buttons.

R300. I do not have any photo of this one but I have some videos and I'm almost sure (correct me if I'm wrong) that this is the standard dash of this model. Carbon fiber, analogue black rev counter and speedometer like in the Roadsport, the same flat buttons, and some analogue indicators to the left (if the steering-wheel is on he right).

Roadsport. Non-carbon fiber. Black analogue rev and speedo. Traditional buttons in line along the dashboard. I love the old style, but aren't some buttons too far away from the driver?

Unknown. This shares the same squared buttons of the Roadsport's dash but are all together next to the steering-wheel and perfectly aligned. Is this some kind of old design? In the handbook it appears as: 'Dashboard layout for models with Stack Instruments and full windscreen'. What does it has to do the fact that you have a windshield installed with the type of buttons???

No, not in a Caterham.
