Hi guys. Had a strange going on a few weeks ago huge bang from under the front end.Pull over and the alternator fan had flew apart leaving a big hole in the nose cone!! Got a new fan and belt etc all fixed.I am wanting to change the nose cone and rather fancy a csr cone, because of the vent, but they seem diff in photos?? Will it fit? Also wanting to change the headlight/indicator bracket allowing me to use the carbon fibre pod what the indicator sits in.Will the new bracket bolt straight on?? many thanks

CSR nose will not fit an S3 - the CSR dimensions are based on the SV.

What headlight brackets do you have?

You will need either an R300 nose or an R500 nose. Headlight brackets are the same, just different indicator pods.

The brackets you need are the these: LH & RH. The latest type bracket with the forward leg will not fit. No problem then fitting the plastic or carbon indicator pods.

CSR nosecones will fit SV's no worries from the discussion I've had with the parts team....you can also get the front arch covers onto an SV, but you'll have to do something custom for the mounts....

this is on my winter upgrade list after reskinning 1/2 of my car

When you say front arch covers, do you mean the CSR cycle wings?
If so, I can confirm the CSR stays will fit. It's just the wheel offset that's different.

Hi Mick,

I'm going to stay with my existing RiF CF arches, just a new nosecone as part of a refresh of our SV-VHPD that's 7 years old last month. Got the approval from 'er indoors for £4K of upgrades, reskin, new parts/wheels/etc @ the weekend. "Do it now before we buy a house" was the instruction, so I may consider the new CSR ones, but suspect the Duratech-260 ain't gonna get approved -- yet!

Great stuff. I love the tinkering. wink
My first car, an R300, had to go when we bought our second property. But I made a deal with my wife, I would have another when the house was finished.
Unfortunately, CC stopped using Arch, so I put my name down on one of the last Arch chassis. A LHD SV. But I had to keep it a secret for a couple of years!
I've not quite finished the renovation of the house yet, but I had to spill the beans. Fortunately, she agreed I've worked hard for what we have, so said I deserved it. Bless her. cloud9

Enjoy the upgrade. smile
