I can't think of anywhere that does ali or stainless ones but Fluke sell some carbon ones (at a price!): http://www.fluke-motorsport.co.uk/carbonfibre-rear...

Aluminium ones do exist (I have some on my 7), but they are rarer than hen's teeth. IIRC someone on BlatChat had a batch (no idea how many) specially made to order some years ago and I was fortunate enough to pick up a pair about a year or so ago that had not been used.

As Shaun says the only other alternative these days are the carbon fibre ones.

I had a pair of the ally ones a few years ago. I am pretty sure I moved them on, but I'll check in the garage this evening.

Yes Fluke sell the MOG stuff.

N.B. I also have a set of ali light blocks on my car but as above they were only made for a short time and are like gold dust now.

I have the ally blocks also, although mine are the black powder coated versions. They we're made in 2003 by a L7C member - Steve Foster. There's been no talk of any more since so the only option now is likely to be s/h. Personally I think they're a better option than going the CF route.

:-) That takes me back. Phil W designed them and I had a local firm run up several batches of 25. Some bare ali, some powder black and even the odd coloured anodised one or two.

Still have my black ones and a pair of ali should I feel like it...

I'm too busy with making birch ply Tannoy GRF replica speakers and 12" tonearms these days for such car stuff!

Oh, and Seven Tweeks, now Seven Speed, had carbon light blocks but seem to be out of stock at the moment http://www.sevenspeed.co.uk/lighting.html but worth calling them to find out if they're restocking?

(they were made by Carbon Bits http://www.carbon-bits.com, but since Richards sad death I'm not sure what's happening with production - but Linds at Seven Speed may know more)

Carbon Bits/Easyclad is being sold. Last I heard, they won't be doing car stuff anymore.

How's your fabby valve amp doing?

And for the OP, I checked my stash of caterham bits and I sadly don't have the ally light surounds any more.
