Regional Meetings

After many months of contemplating the pros & cons of TVR -vs- Caterham I have decided to take the plunge and buy a Caterham. I have found a car I like at Caterham South, and subject to a few final details will hopefully 'do a deal' on Tuesday.

Being a social kinda chap I am interested in finding out more about the club. I am based in Stansted, Essex and am wondering is there any kind of monthly Essex meet up?

Any info greatly received.

Welcome aboard. You'll find plenty of info here under Area Meetings and Blatchat. Unfortunately, it looks like you've just missed the Essex monthly meeting, but there are others around the SE.

Hello,

There is a new north Herts meet at the Three Tuns, Ashwell on the third Sunday each month from 12pm. The next meet is Sunday June 20th. Ashwell will be about 30 mins drive for you. If you want to join a blat to the meet keep an eye on BC in the week beforehand for details.

Alan thanks for your reply, I will join Blatchat to keep up with social events.

Richard thanks for the 'heads up' regarding the Sunday North Herts meeting, sounds ideal and a 30 mins drive to the meet will be a bonus!

Going back to Caterham on Tuesday to have another look and hopefully buy a car.

Hi Richard

Thank for the nudge about the meeting on Sunday - Unfortunately I didn't get the car that I was hoping for as somebody else pipped me to the post and phoned through a deposit before I could get back down to Surrey for a closer look and a drive.

I'm hoping to get down to Caterham Cars and maybe Millwood Cars next weekend and have another look as they both have new cars in stock which may interest me.

Regrettably I am fully 'booked up' this weekend with ferrying kids to parties and visiting the outlaws otherwise I would have come down, met you all, scrounged some passenger rides and picked some brains. Hopefully by the next meet I will have found the right car.
