When I bought the car I already had the 4 piston calipers at the front. The problem is, my rear wheels keep locking up. This probably isn't normal, so where should I be start looking at?

Make sure your front brakes are working properly, I had a sticky piston which caused the fronts not to work properly and the rears to lock first.

If it's not a fault then it could be down to pad combo's.
With Standard rear brakes you can go to Pagid if the fronts are working well.
I like Ferodo race FRP218R on the fronts and Pagid RS14's on the rear for track and road. The Pagid's can really take a good work out heat wise where the standard pad material will just crumble.

I'm not sure which brake pads Caterham delivers with their kit, but I do have some RS14 pads on the shelf. I'll have a go changing these to see what happens then.

Due to the light weight of the car and depending how you brake, balance can always be a bit of an issue in a Caterham, no biggy but if it does bug you, fit a bias valve, see mine next to the gear lever.

I think it's like this.

A friend and my little brother have been working on the car today, whilst I was working at home. Got to thank them, because after changing the pads for rs14 pads, the problems have been solved, if I may believe them. Can try it myself tomorrow (didn't have time today).
Can't wait till 6:30 am tomorrow. biggrin
