The first event in March was a popular sell out and I expect this one to sell out soon so please get in touch if you are interested. I do need to sell all places for this to go ahead.

I have hired Castle Combe and the services of their staff to run this trackday for charity. It is not a Lotus 7 Club trackday so all kinds of cars are welcome (as long as they comply with the circuits regulations). It is strictly a 'not for profit' day so once the costs are covered any surplus goes to charity.

The format will be 3 sessions based on level of experience - this worked very well at the last event and enabled people of all abilities to have an enjoyable time. Sessions will be 20 minutes each (3 sessions per hour) so loads of track time and only 12 cars per session. All this for £165 per place I don't believe you'll find a better deal than this in 2010.

Full details and booking forms can be found on our website so please take a look at your diary and see if you can join us.

Would love to, but am sure the R500 would never make it through Castle Coombes noise limits frown

The noise limits are strictly enforced - but at the last trackday we all made it through and we had a mix of high powered K's and Duratecs - so it must depend a lot on what exhaust you have. My R500 spec K is close with a 4-2-1 Powerspeed but fingers crossed I'll make it below 100 db(A) on Monday.

SpeedYellow, My R500 D makes it through Combe's static noise check with ease but it has the CC quiet silencer on it. A friend took his R500 D along a couple of weeks back with the standard silencer on and his also made it through the static test. I had no trouble with drive-by during the last day I was there with the quiet airbox on, don't know about the standard airbox.

I've got the quiet airbox but standard exhaust which after 4.5k miles has 'opened' up quite a bit, fine for places like silverstone but have serious doubts about CC. Have to decide if it's worth splashing the cash on a quiet box... hum...
