Hi all. The nice people at Caterham tell me these won't fit a dedion Seven, becuase of the different suspension and wheel offset of the CSR.
But looking at the pictures, and the CSR stays, and the dedion stays, are both straight from the upright mount, where they attach to the stubaxle retaining nut.confused
The only thing that looks different to me, is the bracket between the two stays.
So, if they don't fit, I'll have to modify, as I have some CSR wings I'd like to fit.
Anyone know which ones would be better to modify? CSR ones, or dedion ones?
If it's just the bracket between the stays that's different, then I'm thinking the CSR ones would be easier to fettle. Am I right?

Cheers,
Mick.

Hi Peter, thanks for the heads up. I had a look on the site, but the stays in the pictures don't look the same to me.
I'm told Caterham have a car with CSR wings and stays fitted, so I think I'll order the CSR ones, and fettle those.
I know folks have modified dedion ones, but that's probably becuase they already have them. I don't have any right now.
Here's a picture of the wings I'm fitting.

Hi Mick

I think Gary at Freestyle has a pattern for these, you just have to get hold of him

Hi Martin,
I think it would be easier to make them from scratch! rolleyes
After studying the pictures, I've convinced myself it's just the web between the stays, where the top balljoint passes, that'll need a fettle, in fact, I'll cut it out, and make a new one.

Cheers,
Mick.

Mick,
I don't know if it's any use, but here are some pics I took of the CSR stays at Stoneleigh last year. I can't see any material difference.

Thanks for that. smile The stays seem a little further forward, so the web/hole which the top ball joint passes through, will be at the wrong angle/in the wrong position maybe?
I don't know if the CSR uprights are the same. They are certainly listed seperate on the Caterham online store.
As I said, CC say they won't fit.
At the moment, I just need the stays for reference so I can get my brakes machined up. (I'm trying to get a 280mm setup with alloy bells, and vented rotors, with a radial mount 4 piston caliper, in a 13inch rim.)But I digress........
I'll post back my findings when everything goes together.
Thanks all for the input. beer

Do you know what the offsets are mic? For an S3 with 6X13's and a CSR 15 inch wheels? I want to fit 8X13's But was waiting untill I got everything built up before I worked out the offset. Maybe the wing will end up in the wrong place over the tyre.
Both sets of stays run up straight from the tub axle nut, so it must be the position of the wing thats wrong for an S3/SV.
