Quick question - are tail-lights on separate fuses? Got both brake lights working (so I know it's not the bulb), but N/S tail-light has gone.

And, if they are individually fused, can someone suggest which fuse it might be?

Try changing the bulb, one filament can go without effecting the other.

First thing I tried - still not working.

I had the same problem. Take the wheel off and check the wiring. On my 7 the plasic cable tie that holds the wiring away from the wheel had broken and the insulation on one wire had been worn away by rubbing against the wheel. I think it was the earth lead.

Thanks, I'll have a look. The number-plate light has gone out as well, but I've got a new one in the post as the lens is broken on the old one. Looks like it's "Caterham electrics lesson 1" this weekend...

This sounds suspiciously like an earthing wire come loose. That ain't fun, but with a multimeter you can easily remove battery with ignition on, connect plus and then negative WHILST in Amp mode, or +12-20VDC and you should see current flow and 12-14 volts. If not, earth broken somewhere (don't get confused with aviation being broken smile ) and then you just have to follow the wires back.

Memory serves me that my 2002 SV's taillights meet up somewhere near the diff, and the rear lighting did as well. Does the Mist Light or Reverse light work? If so that might blow up my theory frown

Tail lights ARE on separate fuses, at least on my 2007 Roadsport, I know because this happened to me last weekend. There's a fuse list in the build manual which is available for download from the Caterham web site.

There are three full rows of fuses. Top row on the left is brake lights. Bottom row, the right hand two are for left hand side/number plate and right hand side. Check your earth connections as that often causes problems
