Does anyone know this R400?

Does anyone know any history about this R400?

I'm really keen to buy this one, and the fella selling seems like a decent bloke, and says it's only done 1 1/2 track days.... but as he's selling with 6 slicks, am just wandering if its done a fair bit more..??? If anyone knows anything would be grateful to hear. Many thanks.

Don't know this car, but if it has been used on the track, its nothing to really worry about. If the car has been looked after, track work won't harm it, most of trackday users are pretty sympathetic with the cars, as its not like racing. Guess the question I would ask, is, what did he have done for 8k of engine and gearbox work, what was the spec of the engine before hand, ie is it a real R400 or a Rxx that has been upgraded.

Given the slicks, the full rollcage and the gearbox rebuild you have to suspect it's had a hard life previous to the current owner.

It is the usual carefully worded ad. He has only done 1 1/2 track days but does not state he has owned from new ?.

Did you read the ad ? It's a R300 upgraded to R400 spec

It does look like an ex race car, I guess it depends on whether that bothers you or not
