What is the perceived wisdom for the max tyre sizes (width) that can be fitted on the caterham 8 spoke 6" and 8" wheels. I'll be looking at ACB10s or V70s.

Would appreaciate feedback from anyone who's actually run over 215s on the rear.

I've not run ACB10's but have run their sister Avon ACB0's crossply slicks.
20.0 13.0 9.0 - 9" wide. Not sure how that equates to mm for radials (would be in ITRO 228mm?).

i ran them on 8.5" rims - perfect. Guess they would have worked ok on 8" but perhaps not as optimal.

I don't think you want to go really wide tyres on just an 8" rims though - the tyre wall will squidge about too much and make the handling imprecise.

6" wise, 175 (CR500's), 185 or 6" ACB's seems to be the norm.

Are you aware of any 7/21s being run on the 6" caterham front rims?

Currently I use 7/22 and 6/21, but was thinking of going to 8/22 and 7/21... Agreed, that 9" rears are probably a tad too big. thumbup

Sorry - yes I did use 7 21's on 6" rims in the beginning and then 7 20's on 6.5" rims.
