I've asked Caterham this but they are not getting back to me.

If I buy a new Seven and don't service it at Caterham (or Caterham Midlands), is the warranty in any way affected?

TIA

Oh... whilst I'm here... when is the first service on an R300/400 - is there a 1000 mile jobie?

I'm not sure if the service intervals will have changed for a Duratec engine but a K-series R 300 has a preliminary service at 500 miles then at 6000 miles.

Just managed to get this info, so for any others...

Servicing in any other than 'approved' service centres invalidates the warranty, and the first Service is 1000 miles or 3 months.

So does the "small car manufacturer" status allow them to stipulate that? I thought that the whole EU block exemption thing had sorted that?

Mind you, seems eminently sensible to get it serviced by Caterham in the first year anyway.

Well yes... except of course, my nearest is a 9 hour round trip.
