Help finding a good MOT centre in Essex

I've just moved to Shenfield in Essex and have a superlight R that has its MOT coming up in a month. Does anyone know a good MOT centre nearby that will understand about the car and the fact it does not need its CAT testing?

Facing a similar dilemma myself. I can't offer a solution I'm afraid, but two possibilities would be Castle Lotus in Stansted or (going a bit further afield) there's said to be a 'friendly' MOT station in Potters Bar that the TVR boys use. Possibly a bit far afield from Shenfield.

I have mine R300 mot'd by the 7 Workshop in Hoddesdon. Chris takes it to a local MOT station who seem friendly, OK with a stick on front plate & don't give me grief for not having a cat.
Might be worth giving him a call or if you cant get hold of him I can go & dig out my certificate to see the name stamp.

i have a garage buisness in leyton e10, the mot station i use for customers cars
mot'd my caterham with no problem

Your issue is finding someone who is a bit lenient on the emissions. My R500 "fails" that every year...even with my MOT catalytic convertor bolted on....I've found someone near me in Bishop's Stortford who seems sympathetic....
