You are sat in front of a PC with internet connection. In the time it took you to type that question you could have found it yourself.

Don't think You'll find a price on the web site any longer.
Last time I looked, it was around 5K.
Better value now, than when I bought mine in 2007, as the starter kit comes with the parts to build a rolling chassis.

Normalbloke, that's a great way alienate a potential purchaser against Caterham owners. Well done nono

In any case, as far as I can see, the Caterham website doesn't say how much a starter kit is. The only information available on there is http://www.caterham.co.uk/assets/html/showroom/sta....

Please see below a recent Caterham advert from the Lotus 7 Club magazine which has all the information you want.

Yep you're correct the caterham 'ad is the rear cover of February's low flying part of the ~40% of the magazine taken up by Bloody advertisements, though I have to say this 'ad is probably of value to potential 7 owners.

As I thought.
Bloody good value that! Considering it wasn't much less for just a chassis when I bought mine.
It will add up quickly with a few options though!

Saw the starter pack 'ad so thought I'd cost out a 7, however trying to get the info out of caterham is like trying to get blood out of a stone, compared to westfield, and the other 7 kit makers they suck big time.

I believe the all in kit price of £13,300 represents a 10% saving on buying the packs individually. In my opinion the basis classic kit is the only one that offers reasonable value for money.

WHilst the complete pack may save you 10% as opposed to buying the packs seperately, the prices for some parts from caterahm - engine gearbox axle etc are way over those that you could source them for seperately from another supplier.
Caterahm quote £6995 for 175 hp duratec, this can be bought for £1500 or so new, its just a standard Ford engine. the gearbox at £1150 is a crazy price for a standard type 9, I bought a new 5 speed SCCR HP box for £695 from a well known supplier, to fit in my Lotus.
To build a Caterham for a sensible price you'll have to buy these major components and fit them into the starter kit which does seem good VFM.
All this will involve some work, but the saving would make it worthwhile IMO.
