Throttle cable and pedal setting
Discussion
Hiya
We had a throttle cable snap today on the Supersport - no harm done and fixed at roadside but quite surprising - anyone had that?
Also on any narrow body car, is the accelerator (at rest) set alongside the brake pedal or is it set a bit behind the brake and if so, how much?
Had a look at our SV, but pedal set up is different.
Grateful as ever for any advice.
Great Supercar meet at Snakes Pass today - check out Yorkshire thread.
Ta Scott.

Just open the cover of the pedal box and you can alter the brake and clutch pedal anyway you like. If you open it, you'll immediately know what I mean.
I must say, I would have liked the brake pedal a bit further towards the gas pedal as I have small feet. Don't think I can move the pedals sideways, though.

TADTS (They all do that Sir!)
Also Clutch cable is prone to break as well.
Many people fit pedal stops under the pedals to prevent overtravel, and most of us who tour carry a spare throttle and clutch cable (cable tie them to one of the chassis rails inth eemgine compartment - with a spare belt as well) http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/helluvaname/7Mods#51...
