Wow what a day you had to pick up your first caterham, considering all the bad weather we've had. What is it they say about the sun shining on the righteous? So how did you get on, any photos? That's a nice spec for your first 7

How exciting! bounce I remember the day I picked up my shiney new R300 from CC.
I did the first 500 miles over the weekend, changed the oil and filter, and drove it onto the Plymouth Bilbao ferry, down through Spain to Barcelona, and got the ferry over to Mallorca. driving
I'd wanted one since I was 12, I was 44 years old then.
Enjoy every minute! clap

Here's the car thet started it off, all those years ago! (Yes I still have it! and guess what colour my R300 was?)

Man the first day was fantastic spin. Weather was good 150 miles in the sunshine. That noise dudes THAT noise biglaugh. Pop the clutch and bang bang bang thru the gears one after another with the front end hauled up and head snapped back. Volcanic heater, although is the deaf and numb left ear normal ah well who cares anyway. Stopped for petrol and a random chap asks to take a pic, and various people expressing the view that this is a fine motor car.And bloke in mini cooper S swerving across the traffic just to go my way and provoke a little drag race. Picked up the children in it and my 8 yr old daughter was just laughing hysterically at the noise and general calamity. My son who is 11 loves it and has insisted on taking the steering wheel up to his room. Came back armed with books, a luggage rack, aero screen, and a petty strut ready for Loton park.

one last thing is how the bloody hell do you get the petrol to go into the bloody filler neck ?

Really pleased for you. I picked up our SV from Midlands on Sat, The run back up from Caterham Mids to York in the SV with heater etc was fab but the 2 hrs down there in a real hardcore Superlight spec car without a heater was chilly. Wore my crash helmet but thighs were numb (amongst others!). Worth it in the end though. Hope you have a great ownership. Cheers

Scott.
