Wondered what kind of mileage might get from CR500's hard road use ? Been getting around 800 miles rear and 1400 front from R888's, but they are cheap and frankly they are hopeless in the wet. They are medium compound 185/205 F/R.

If anyone is contemplating slicks for the track do yourselves a favour and get some Michelins from the Formula BMW series. £ 15 each and around 3 seconds a lap faster than most track day tyres. Incidentally, in my experience the Toyos aren't up to hard use on track - they grain badly.

You're pretty hard on tyres then... I was told CR500s may do anythin up to 10k a set, but does depend on your driving style, I'm getting about 6k out of rear A021s, which do grip in the wet.

I've been getting 10k out of the fronts and 5k out of the rears on a CSR 260. That includes a couple of trackdays a year and a handful of sprints.
