looking to build a caterham and was wanting some info of what they are like to build was looking at the r400 what extras do you need on this car etc

They are easy to build as all the tricky stuff (panels, wiring, fuel lines, brake lines) are already done for you. As for extras - depends on what you want to use it for. Do you want a windscreen and weather equipment or are you happy with an aeroscreen? I would definitely have it painted unless you like polishing. I have a Stack dash on my car which I much prefer to the std instruments but it's a personal thing. I would have 4 point harnesses and an FIA rollbar if you intend doing any trackdays (and probably even if you don't).

i even looked at the lotus exige s but from reading about the cars the caterham tends to hold the way in depreseation value
