Tell me about it. I've been looking since about September/October last year. Maybe I'm being too picky, don't know. There were a couple that I missed out due to not being in there quick enough, but otherwise very few SVs around. Hopefully we won't end up fighting over the same one
People say more start coming on the market around spring time, so hopefully things will pick up

LOL - How many times have I heard SV's do not sell any better than standard 7's - People IF 7 ownership may be a flash in the pan - always buy an SV as its just a better car for resale - FACT
Both my cars have been SV's and I have got almost what I paid for them when re-sold, granted my cars are spotless and well looked after but I am 100% sure SV's sell faster and yield better resale prices than the more abundant narrower cars......

O.K. get your point. But it's better in the fact it has more room, more boot space, bigger fuel tank, and it's wide track as standard. In my mind, that makes it better.
I think statisticly, we are bigger than people where in the late 50's.
Just my oppinion. You're welcome to dissagree.

I'm as little as people in the late 50's, but can't say I don't like the extra room of the SV. Although I would have bought the non SV just as easy if I would have found it in the right spec. There simply aren't that many Caterhams for sale over here. Could have bought one in UK, which would save me some money as a bonus. The only thing is I'd like to use it as a daily driver. So lhd was a must have for me.

What if you dont need all of the above, then you have a heavier car? how would that be better. Its a different tool for a different job. I think statisticly, we are bigger than people where in the late 50's.

As for weight, an SV is 31 kilo's heavier than a K series roadsport, but 15 kilo's lighter than a Kent/Vauxhall car! Hardly here or there for a road car, if a few kilo's is going to make that much difference, then you are probably a driving god. In which case you should be in a single seater race car.
Width, we're talking 4 inches, that's an inch either side of you and your passengers hips. Hardly a Sumo.
You'd be hard pushed to tell them apart on thier own (unless you count the poppers along the top of the screen)
All in my humble opinnion of course.
But it doesn't help Scotty find his SV does it. Sorry for the hijack!
Good luck with your search.
But it's enough to give you that bit of extra shoulder space.
I never had a problem with leg space in my S3, in fact I never had to remove my removable Momo. I'm not bothering with it on this car.
But I did have Tillets, and will have in this car.
I've never driven on track, but can imagine you would slide around quite a bit on leather seats.
I found the Tillets a bit tight across my shoulders though. Ended up feeling like my shoulders where scrunched forward a bit. But I did like the way the fit my hips.
I tried some CSR Tillets when I was over in U.K. recently, in Dartford, and they where just perfect! So I'll be going for those this time around.
Forgot to mention another plus...you can wear normal shoes in an SV.
I see CC only have one used SV for sale. I guess folks who have them, like to keep them.

What about this one http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1459515.htm
YAYHAY - just got one from Caterham before it hit the market. 1.8 six speed with good spec and Titanium Silver. Gutted to be trading in our Gulf livery Supersport but needs must. It wasn't that we were losing too much business but we're getting more people taking the cars for long weekends and one's off to switzerland for 10 days!
Thanks for all the chat.
