After a cracked windscreen, I had it replaced by a black version. Also the windscreen stanchions have been replaced by black ones. The strange thing now is that my doors tend to sit too high. Also, they point a bit upwards further too the back.

Does anyone know if these stanchions can be aligned or can I only resolve this problem by getting myself a new set of doors / hinges?

Oh, the windscreen also seems to have a larger gap at the underside to the bodywork.

Why don't you ask Caterham? Haven't heard of this before.

As I don't think this is a terrible difficult question only Caterham can answer, resulting in me having to wait one day, a week, three weeks or longer for the answer by mail.

Did you fit it yourself, or did CC fit it for you?
Are the stantion mounting holes in the same position as the old ones?
If you slack everything off, are the mounting holes big enough to give you some adjustment?
Sounds like the windscteen isn't raked back far enough.

Presumably the doors are the same type as you had previously (hi-vis, elbow mouldings, same style button fasteners etc)?

Were all parts new on the car (original screen/stanchions and new sets)?

Don't recall it being a part that has a tremendous amount of adjustment, but as with most things on them it could probably be made to fit better! I'd try and find out why it's so far out though - how far is it? does it leave massive gaps? Have you got photos?).

Mickrick, the car has been factory built, although I haven't let CC change the windscreen for me as it's a long way from the Netherlands. I had the windscreen replaced by a garage, so I don't have the original stanchions anymore, too check.

I only changed the windscreen and the stanchions for new ones. The doors and their hinges are the ones I already had and are the ones you've described. Whereas they used to tip the rear wings, they now point upwards. I'll make some photos in a few hours.

LOL Sam, it should. The only thing is that I went out for a drive in the freezing cold, followed by another drive and walk on the Nurburgring itself on 26 December. This all resulted in a few days under the blankets, including newyear, and still half dead ever since. So, not quite sure if an aeroscreen would be any good in winter time. biggrin

Now hoping to feel a bit better later on the day so I can go outside to snap a few pics. smile

Thats too bad Allen, hope you get better soon. Currently in -ve temps here and feeling rough, so armed with Lemsip and dozens of oranges in an effort to feel better.

Hope you get your screen sorted

Think I'll have to take some of those oranges with me on every trip with the Caterham. Another option is to leave the hood on the car. wink

Anyways, I've taken two photos:

The door used to line up properly round the rear wing.

A blind man on a galloping horse, at 100 mtrs can see the stantion bracket isn't paralell with the scuttle base.
I would bet by bottom dollar if you slack the bolts off, the screen will rake back more.
I'd give your mechanic a business card for Specsavers. wobble

I was thinking the same.

Would you then be able to pinch it up though?

Hm, going to look for an old photo tonight, to see how it looked before. Hopefully it will be an easy fix for my two left hands, too. smile

Just to let you know it's sorted. Happy as can be. Driving with the hood is so much more fun as I'm still not completely better. biggrin
