Chaps, outdoor car cover required...
Discussion
I will be getting my Academy Roadsport in the next few weeks and I think I'm going to relegate it to the driveway and leave my other steed tucked up in the garage with a lifeline to the battery charger..
Now, I'm getting weather equipment with it but I don't want to be taking this on and off whenever I want to squeeze in through the roll-cage, harness up and go for a blat so I'm thinking an outdoor cover would be quick to put on and off and offer a tad more protection to the car than a possibly leaky roof...(unless I'm making the roof out to be more hassle than it really is?)
So
- will the hood be a quick, easy and appropriate method of offering outside protection?
- would an outdoor cover be advantageous being a quicker fix(?) and of course more effective... + any come recommended?
Cheers
Dave

Your second option is likely to be the best bet. Though it helps to chuck the roof over (under the cover!) to prevent water pooling in the gaps in the roll cage etc.
Cover Systems covers are fine, and about half the price of Covercraft etc for no difference in quality (I've had both over the years).

Cheers Andy, I think the cover will be best. While I was on the phone to Caterham today I asked if they sold covers - they do but they're £200-£250. A cover from http://www.coveryourcar.co.uk/store/product.php?pr... is about £120.
I hadn't got an insurance quote yet for keeping it on the drive.. was expecting a call back from Caterham insurance today but it hasn't come yet. Their quote seems quote reasonable as long as it doesn't change much/rocket for keeping it outside.
