I am looking at a Caterham (R400, SV) but am concerned it might not fit over the lip into my driveway without grounding. Does anyone know what the floor pan to ground distance is between the axels?

Cheers

If it has adjustible platforms on the dampers, the ground clearence can be adjusted, also it depends on whether the car has 13 inch wheels or 15's. No car will be the same, the best option is ask an owner who lives near you to pop their car over.

I think your main concern would be the sump pan. But as this sits somewhere between the front wheels you'll be fine most of the time. The gearbox could also be a problem as it sits lower than the floorpan.

Hi did anyone answer the ground clearance between front and rear wheels with a lowered floor?
I have a measurement for the sump and diff carrier but how much higher on average is the centre part?

Thanks

With lowered floors, they will be lower than the (wet) sump, less than 3” which is crazily low. Clearing curbs and driveways is a continuing problem for me. Always ask a passenger to decamp before trying a curb.

A dry sump is a big improvement over the Duratec wet sump, which is very low, the sump being the critical bit to avoid smashing! Then its the seat bolts sticking out of the lowered floors that hit next, you can grind these down
