Roadsport Insurance!!

Just in process of buying 07 1.8 Roadsport!!!

Any ideas of best insurance, I'm old (57), full no claims, clean licence, living in rural Devon, best quote so far over £400 (Adrian Flux) seems mighty dear to me...

Phone Mary at Egger Lawson 0115 985 0165, I'd expect you to find it a fair bit cheaper

Hagerty Intl for me, been with them 3-4 years, they also do trackday cover. I'm 52, have a R300, they charge £255 with breakdown.

Another good one is MSM Insurance, they have a good rep with the Caterham crowd, they don't do trackday cover, which is the only reason I'm not with them.

Competition car for me £219 with 4 trackdays included, fully comp 14k's cover, they do deals for members of L7 club

I'm 26, high risk area and recent claim and I'm still paying under £400. The track day cover is very useful as mentioned, plus they seem to be nice people to deal with - second car I've insured with them and I'll continue to do so.

That's a bit strange. Mine came in a £360ish IIRC for 5,000 miles. Okay, it's not the newest or the most valuable Caterham around.

I think in my instance being relatively young means it's difficult to get realistic quotes elsewhere, so my (high) opinion of Hagerty might be influenced by that!

I was very impressed with the genuine interest both companies took in me and the caterham but I can't understand the difference.
