Went out in the R500 on Sunday morning. Blue sky, frosty conditions, small boys waving from the side of the road, snort of exhaust, wind in my hair, jumpers for goalposts...

Came back and said to my wife 'never let me sell that car'. It doesn't matter what mood I am in or what the weather is - I just love that car and would regret it the moment I saw it leave.

Just thought I would put my awe in....

i took my 70 year old father from Texas out on Crimbo day. scared the @#$% out of him with 4 wheel drifts, loads of understeer, etc until the tyres warmed up.

then some serious tyre abuse ensued for the next 40 miles....

top day, suspect he had to change pants when we got back in

i'll never sell this car, no way jose!!!!

I feel the same way about my car. No matter how crappy my day is, I can just go out and drive... My friends and I are thinking about putting together a Super 7 as a project car, not that we have enough time right now. Maybe this summer...

86turbo, just looked at your profile and have to say what a great photo that is of your car and backdrop. Expect to see goodies and baddies running around in the bushes behind....

white van man, you can hire one for the day from Caterham..I gave a day's hire to my hubby Brian for his 40th, as he'd always wanted a Caterham...within a year he'd bought one!

mungo, if you're ever up near Stratford give us a shout and Bri will take out in his crossflow thing - keep the faith!

White Van Man - you don't need a garage - I've had my Caterham for 4 years now and never garaged it. It's lived on a North London street and now a driveway in Bath.

Think of it as a taster, then, to keep you going until you have your own!
