Well, thought I could take the Caterham for a spin as I had to visit a few customers. It was raining like hell and I had the hood up. I thought I would stay dry this way, but within half an hour my trousers got pretty soaked because some water was dripping in the footwell. Also, there was very little spray on my hand on the armrest.
I noticed that if I turned the blower off, it would stop dripping water in the car. Anyone with a heater that can keep the blower on in the rain? Is it something I need to fix?

When mine had screen and weather gear and heater it was water tight. So it is possible to do. Best to look at the way it's sealed around the scuttle/heater area I would think.

Ok, in that case I'll have a look at it tomorrow. It's no big problem now, but I don't think this would be pleasant in winter temperatures.

With a full hood on, even in the depths of winter, you can comfortably drive without a jacket on as its so snug. Still get a wet elbow from the wheel spray on the door but at least you are warm!

Allen if you don't want damp "Drivers Elbow" you can put a bit of velcro (the HOOK Side) on the panel where the door edges touch at the > on the side and
that'll completely close the door there.....FWIW

The Caterham arm-rest option does a good job of this too, but is on the dear side and probably heavier than the velcro idea...

Took the heater unit off Yesterday, to discover there were two holes underneath on each side. Looking at the foam strips I wasn't surprised I got wet. I think I've fixed it now. smile
