R500 question

Does anybody know which keyless ignition system is used on the latest R500?...and does anybody have good or bad experience of it?

DK who makes it but mine has never caused any problems. You have to have the little fob right close to the sensor under the transmission tunnel to get the ignition on but that's not a problem as such. The R500 has a little tray at the front end of the tunnel and it all just sits there.

Just remember to put the fob back in your pocket when doing a trackday, Otherwise you will find that it falls onto the passenger footwell then slides under the passenger seat where you can't reach it. I had to take the bonnet stay out of my landy to hook the keys out!!lol And yes it did take me a while before i thought about using the bonnet stay.

It used to be called Toad Powerkey but now I think it's marketed as Sterling-Excel.

No problem with mine so far. I just pop the transponder back in my pocket after the car is started to avoid losing it and the problem Martin experienced.
