Worth having it retrofitted ? Cost is about £150 and the trailer is being serviced anyway.

Does it make that much difference ?

A friend did this to his own trailer. Cost him about £25 for the decking and appropriate bolts. He used some type of plastic fibre-board but chequer-plating can be cheap if you look around.

I'd say it was worth it- as already said it stops the car getting so mucky as less road crap gets thrown up around it. An added advantage I found was that a deck provides a flat working surface if you need to check or do anything under the car- with a low car like a Seven, it's a lot easier working at 'trailer level' rather than on the ground.

I also like the security of being able to check for tell-tale leaks under the car after a days hot running on track.

I'd say that £150 is good value- I did mine (on a PRG Sport 14) as a DIY job using a sheet of 18mm shuttering ply, a roll of roofing felt, a tin of bitumen adhesive and some home made fixing brackets. Probably about £50 or so in in materials but it was a nightmare to fit- there is almost as little space under a car trailer as there is under a Seven smile

Thanks for the replies. Will get it done. Using Indespension in Redhill, so maybe business is slow.

Sadly my DIY skills don't even allow me to use Blutack properly, so bolting things to trailers is rather too technical smile
