New Style Petrol Pumps!!! Any Solutions??
Discussion
Hi,
I'm sure the answer should be simple!! I found yesterday I couldn't fill up at four petrol stations due to all recently upgrading there pumps and the new nozzle not fitting into my R400 filler cap due to a large lug of metal on the pump which prevents you pushing it in far enough to engage the back splash plate.
Anybody got a simple solution for this other than carrying a funnel a round????
Cheers

The answer is to smash out the flap in the filler kneck. The flap is only held on with a couple of spot welds and is easily removed with a large screw driver. Obviously its easier to do with the filler kneck removed from the tank, which is easy, as its only held on with a jubilee clip.
Its a common problem, the flap is only really needed for SVA.
