Hi,
Can anbody give me some advice, just sold a Sylva striker with tuned Vaux 2.0Xe 185bhp.
Looking to replace it with one of the above.
The westfield is 2007 build with the below
Limited slip diff, All around adjustable suspen, wide track suspension, Heated Screen
Front and Rear Anti Roll bar, 4 Pot AP Racing brakes, 4 Point Rac Rollbar.

The caterham spec is :-
VHPD 190 BHP 1.8 Factory Built with 5 Speed Gearbox
Roller Barrel Throttles
Wide Track adjustable suspension
Uprated Brakes
Limited Slip Diff
Adjustable anti roll bar
Black Pack
13" Superlight Wheels with 6" Fronts and 8" Rears
New CR500 tyres
Keyless flight switch
Quick release Momo
Battery Master Switch
FIA roll bar
Plumbed in extinguisher
Push Button Start
Polished 4-2-1exhaust with 9" silecncer
Leather seats and carpets with map pockets
Blue Race Harness
Carbon Sill protectors
7 Grille
Heater
Full weather gear including Tonneau

The westfield being slightly cheaper than caterham.
I also think the caterham may hold its money better than the westie.
Whats everybodys thoughts, which would you buy?
Cheers

Personally if it was me I would buy a genuine Superlight R at this money. There were only 127 SLR's produced and for me, they offer one of the best all round Caterham experiences for the money with very good residuals. This Roadsport R has started life as a lower powered car and been upgraded to the 190 spec on roller barrels. Nothing wrong with that at all but I think I would buy a genuine SLR in the first place. Eddie Holland's car is an excellent example and might be worth a look.

WRT the Westfield, having an 07 plated car compared to an 7-8 year Caterham is quite a question but I think you can see already the residual of the Caterham is already stronger than the Westy

I would look at what you what to do with it? Both clubs have a good speed championship, although the Caterhams seem to go up the hill quicker. I have never driven a Westfield but they seem to suit some people. I to would go for a SLR as it have the 6 speed box LSD and other nice bits.

From all the comparisons and reviews that I've seen, it would be the Caterham forme without a shadow of a doubt.

Hi Guys,

Just to let you know, bought the caterham and very impressed with
Loving it!!!!!
The car was factory built with the all the above so great for the road with a few comforts and equally as good on the track.
Even had a brand new spanking engine around 2500miles ago with loads of paperwork and invoices.

Thanks for the advice
