Wanted - 1.6 K engined Caterham
Discussion
Those are asking prices, not selling prices, though, Noger.
It's very much a buyers market at the moment, so if you wave £10-£11K in cash under the nose of someone asking £12.5, and have the discipline to simply walk away if they decline it, then you'll get a car for your budget no problem, sooner or later.
Persnally, I wouldn't bother with 'wanted' requests; it puts you off on the wrong foot (they're doing you a favour by offering you the car, rather than you doing them a favour by considering taking it off their hands, in a very difficult market). Just shop around the small ads and dealers with cash in your pocket...

You might be surprised.
I've often bought specialist cars in this sort of price range for about 80% of asking price, which would be at around the £10K mark on a £12.5K Caterham.
Lots of people don't realise their negotiating power and pay more than they need to, especially in the current market... cash is king.

My Caterham is in the classified for £11,995 witha trailer - so I could sell it without for 11k
it's a 2007 roadsport Academy car now in RSB guise. It won a race last time out at Cadwell this year with 9 second lead - so I guess it's ok.
It is a race car though and needs new wings - has a new nose cone but outstanding value considering it's less than 18 months old fully road registered and taxed until March.
