Change from CSR200 to 260
Discussion
If you can, do. The top end (above 6000rpm) of the 260 compared to a 200 is just awesome! My mate upgraded, wasn't cheap but well worth the extra - was still MUCH cheaper than buying anything else with that sort of performance. Normally the quickest car at trackdays, baring Radical's and the like and maybe those pesky boys from Caterham in their new R500!!

Thinking of upgrading to a 260. Is it worth the additional cost?
Yes. The 200 engine is ok but not really powerful enough for the heavier CSR chassis (335bhp/tonne or therabouts). The CSR260 has an awesome top end and is more than quick enough on the road for most people. Not sure on upgrade cost but i know a complete new Cossie 260 engine is 10k-12k! i.e. its not going to be cheap.
As an alternative you could ask CC about part-ex'ing your 2.3 cossie engine for Caterham's own 2.0 260bhp duratec found in the new R500. That may work out cheaper as Cosworth have a big mark-up on their engines/parts and i expect a used EU4-compliant 200 unit would be in demand for export markets. You'd lose out slightly on torque but it'd certainly be a great combo.

Spaggy, Buy my car, does to a CSR260 what a CSR260 does to a CSR200. I'm sure someopne will direct you to where its for sale, as links are not permitted here.
But presumably if he bought a CSR200 he isn't looking for a screenless, highly tuned, stripped out, fully-caged, narrow-bodied, Series 3 track car.....or is he?edited to add:
Have you got a six-speed box in the CSR200?
