New Wing mirror options & camera mounts...
Discussion
Hi Everyone
Rather than start 2 topics, though I would start 1!!
Firstly, I would like to replace the wing mirrors (car has windscreen) as they are quite large and vibrate I have found these in the Caterham store, ideally I would like to fit Carbon Fibre ones (as it's a Superlight to match the other bits ) but can't find them, so looking at these:

I would like these, but they look like they only work with an Aeroscreen:

Any other recommendations? I am a bit of a numpty, so apologies..
Secondly, what camera mounts can you recommend? I have just been given a video camera as a present and would like to mount it on the roll bar to record trackdays etc.
Cheers

Carbon fibre RHS mirror
Carbon fibre LHS mirror
These aren't really designed to replace the sidescreen mirrors but I know that some people have. You could also screw them to the windscreen stanchions although that stops the sidescreens from opening all the way.
Search techtalk on Blatchat for more information.
For cameras. most people use a bullet camera mounted with something like this. You can mount a video camera using something like the Manfrotto Superclamp with suitable adaptor like the one shown below it on that link.

Thanks Shaun
The LHS mirror looks like it will need a bit of modification to fit, as it downst have the same 2 screw connector. Which worries me as I am a dunce with a spanner
Tried a search on Blatchat but not a club member yet, and couldn't find too much.
Camera mount looks good, thanks for your help.
Cheers

They fit to the windscreen upright and every time you open the door you whack it with the door and the thing goes out of adjustment
Also it stops the door opening fully so it makes it a real pain to get in and out
So, what are the smaller wing mirrors that Dom at Caterham told me about? They fit in exactly the same place as the bigger original fit ones??? If I wasn't so eager to get into my car and blat away, I would of asked!
Think I need to call Caterham..

I drilled the stanchions and fitted the Racetech mirrors (as per your link) to several of my cars. There's no issue with vibration then and the door opens wide enough for you get in and out of the car before it fouls the mirror. If you tighten the mirror you won't move it if you do hit it with the door. Finally, if you position the mirror correctly, you can still lift the door off the hinges. Get that bit wrong though and you'll never be able to remove the door once the mirror's in place.
Nifty Stiles sold a kit that enables one to fit Racetechs or Spas to the hinges for the doors IIRC.
Finally, the carbon Racetechs used to have nasty plastic concave lenses - the plain black ones had glass "natural" lenses - much better and cheaper and don't scratch.
