to here

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/519191.htm

....in a matter of a week

...and all for a bit of a valet, I'm guessing....

....but a bit of movement there on the price for the buyer.....

Thats quiet an increase in price, 5.5k!

Good luck to them if they get a nice little profit out of it. Although at that price wouldn't people prefer a newer superlight.

Yep, I'd agree with those numbers Matt. A mate looked at it and it's a bit battle worn too...

But someone will probably come along, haggle it down a couple of grand and be well pleased with the result. Shame for the original owner but nothing wrong with the practice I suppose

I've driven this one, tiz a cracking car, not worth the dealers money or even close obviously, but still is a nice one, didnt think it would go for so much on the bay either, bit lower & it would have been mine now ;(

I would give my left arm for this one...... http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/524309.htm

This is the very car that inspired me to get my first Caterham, there is a great picture of it in the original sales brochure oversteering out of a corner cloud9

Disclaimer
Well, obviously I wouldn't give my left arm. That would just be silly, I wouldn't be able to change gear if I gave up my left arm. Maybe a finger. Yeah. A finger. I would give a finger off my left hand for that car. Yup, that's what I would do.

Well its still on the dealers website, so this has to be a Scam me up Scotty.....

reply to my email-

Hello,

I am glad you are interested in my car. It is still available for sale and it is located in London. The car is in excellent condition, the bodywork is immaculate, no scratches, dents or hidden defects as well as the interior in excellent non-smoking condition. I am the registered owner and there is no outstanding finance on the vehicle. As you probably noticed, the price is rather low: £6,995 because it was bought from an auction of our local Bank and I need some cash asap for a new business I am trying to develope together with my brother.

Please email me soon if you want to move forward with the purchase.

Thank you,
Kat

PS: If you require any additional information (photos/details) regarding my car before you proceed, just mail me back and I will mail you full specs.

Curious.....I got exactly the same response, but I suspect that I asked different questions - I even specifically asked for pics of the engine bay (as there were none on the original e-bay ad or at the dealer).
Oh well....

I reported this to PH yesterday as it's listed twice. Once as a private listing and again as a traders advert.

I did a quick lazy look for this thread but couldn't find it.

Once at £6995 http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/650888.htm

Once at £14995 http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/519191.htm

It is back up again - http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/519191.htm

Links to a garage that is just down the road from me - http://www.sovereigncarsales.co.uk/Replicas_gridpo...

The reason I ask is that I'm in the market for a Seven.

Is this looking a better buy at this price or are they still trying to pull wool over buyers eyes?

All in, would you consider it at the price?

David
