radiator fan relay - where is it ?

I have a 1.6K with an Emerald ECU.
I can't find a relay under the bonnet/nose cone, let alone one for the rad-fan.

THere's 4 square black electric things, which could be relays or switches or a mixture, in the LHS of the fuse mount plastic-block under the dash.

Is it possible that there is no relay for the rad fan, and that it is somehow directly controlled by the ECU ?
