Picked up my new car today
Discussion
After much discussion on this site about the merits of the R400 v CSR260, based on the fact that most of my use will be on the road, I picked up my 260 today. Its a low mileage 05 car. At first I thought it was not that fast, but as soon as you rev it things happen much quicker. The handling seemed a little wierd, but after getting home I checked the tyre pressures and all were down and reading between 10 and 15 psi !! Considering that, the handling was not that bad. The car has been unused for over 4 months, so I guess that was the cause of the deflation. Having never driven a 260 I did notice a lot of difficulty driving at low revs in 2nd. I am aware of the factory `fix`, but how can I tell if its been done ?
Also, there is no red line on the tacho, although I beleve its around 7500, not wanting to blow it up on the 1st day I kept below this, has it got a rev limiter as standard, and is there a danger of going beyond 7500 ?
Overall in the short blat I had I think that we are going to get on just fine, it really is a beasty thing !
Any owners tips would be appreciated ( I have joined the 7 club for a start! )
Thanks.

Ooops, sorry I had forgotten I'd posted on here!
18 psi was suggested as this always see the default for pretty much any of the models to start from whether on road or race tyres. Not sure though about the added weight.
Keep an eye on this post on BC too http://www.blatchat.com/t.asp?id=142093&pn=1&a... as it suggests that very regular oil inspection is a good idea.

18psi sounds too low. ...
18's a good start for 13in tyres with something like a 60 or 70 profile. I've been as low as 12 on track.18psi sounds too low. ...
For lower profile, larger tyres I would expect a higher number to be more appropriate.
Of course you could always get proper wheels and tyres and get back down to 18psi....
