on buying my 2000 superlight (1.8Kseries), was told to put in super 98 unleaded. just flicking through owner manual, i'm sure it said to use normal 95. seems to run very nicely on 98 but unsure what is best and 'proper'.

also, does anybody let the engine idle for a few minutes after a run, or just turn them straight off? these are pretty modern engines and i'm sure they arent as delicate as many think..

I use super.

And rather than let it idle when at home, I ease off over the last few miles to let it start "cooling" off "naturally".

Not sure you have to bother with super in your Superlight for general road use but I would use it for trackdays. Like Murph, I tend to take it easier for the last few miles and then simply switch off rather than sit there for a few minutes with it ticking over like a Scooby which is usually to protect the turbo I think.

Super for trackdays, normal for road use, although if you have had the car mapped, then whatever fuel you had in when it was mapped.
