blimey... did a handling day today in my Caterham, and by gosh, what a fantastic car!!! These things are just an intravenous injection of automotive fun... if you've never driven one, do yourself a favour, and DO IT!!!

I got mine from 0-60 in 3.94 seconds (timed), did donuts with no hands, and blatted round a slalom course probably not very technically, but bloody enjoyably~!

The damn thing even smells good...!

Right now, I am in car cloud9

Please dont tell Gordon Brown though, as something this much fun will get banned...

You must own a Superlight R/R400 then?

it's actually a Freestyle car.... built from a kit to Freestyle's spec...

I reckon 7s of all kinds are fantastic though, old Mr. Chapman certainly knew what he was doing!

Yep, I was there in the morning too (white supersport) and had a fantastic time. First chance to see what the car is capable of and I was really pleased with how well it coped with my ham-fisted efforts on the slalom! I think the track bug is going to bite very soon - I sent off my application for the L7 club Snetterton trackday as soon as I got home!

Awesome - I'm going out for another blat right now!

its a 2.3 Duratec, built at Minister...

its making 212 horsies, revs to about 7500 and sounds like a pi55ed off hornet.

torque is pretty good, but I cant remember the figure...

Your wrong about Gordon Brown, he's not into banning things but if there's an opportunity to tax it then he doesn't miss a trick. Engine to small for the new tax then he will find another way to get you. Watch your back!!

This week I have been mostly eating bugs. The ones that swarm into a Caterham driven after dusk on a warm September evening. I love the cosy, strapped-in feeling when blasting through the night. I like the tunnels that form from headlight illuminated tree-lined roads. And there's more excitement at night from seeing that shift-light fire than during the day when all is safe.
