Starting problems after extended runs.
Discussion
We had this with ours. What happens is that the solenoid within the motor expands due to the heat of the engine and so causes lots of friction, leading to the starter motor struggling to turn it. Solution is to possibly "refresh" the starter motor and refit it with a soldering iron mat over it to stop it from getting too hot. Worked for us!
There's a really good site linked from blatchat that goes through servicing the starter, and adding a new relay.
I took my starter apart, cleaned it out, re-greased it and heat shielded it which helped for a bit, but Ive recently replaced the wiring and added a new relay (to replace the one in the box on top of the ECU) to see if that helps. I'll know after the 14th (track day!)
Good luck with yours
