Caterhams and Kids
Discussion
I suspect this question has been asked before (unless it really is too stupid) but is it possible to get a kiddy seat for a Caterham (or indeed any 7esk car)
I've always fancied one but as I have a 3 year old son and an 18 month old daughter I'd hardly ever get to use it if I couldn't take the little'uns out every now and then
Cheers Dan

I took my 7 year old out in my R500 at the weekend and made him wear one of my full face helmets and ear defenders. He is quite tall and therefore doesn't need a booster seat. He loved it.
My 4 year old has also been out in it..and fallen asleep! Bit of a dilemma with him. If I put him in a booster seat it moves him closer to the airflow and the risk of a stone hitting him.....the helmet doesn't fit, so it's just googles. Sitting him just in the race seat means he is out of the airflow but the shoulder straps are a little loose. I must say I don't like these booster seats as they slide around too much and the risk of submarining looks far greater with them IMO.
The alternative would be sit him on a pillow or don't take him I guess, as a full size car seat won't fit.

This has been covered a few times on Blatchat. It all depends on the seats you have in your car. I have bog-standard leather seats and have had no problem fitting a booster seat in. With 4-point harness, it is very secure and the harness straps go under each 'lug' holding it in place.
My son also wears Peltor Kids ear defenders and some GAP children's ski-goggles.
This is the sort of booster seat here

If your child is under 135cm tall they HAVE to sit on a booster seat (new child seat law which came in last year I think)
My 7 year old is just tall enough now to ride in the 7 without a booster seat and I have 4 point harness's in mine, he also has a set of yellow ear defenders (colour coded )

Its not a problem. For the tillit seat you need to go to a volvo dealer and buy one of their booster seats. I have had one for the last 3 years and works very well. I did change the 3" shoulder belts (4 point harness) to 2" as i thought it was better. My 3 and 5 year old has no probelms with this set up.
The poker seat dues not fit the tillits, Porche uk in reading got one in for me to try.
hope this helps
