I'm doing the Academy this year and need to change the mirrors on the car does anyone have any recommendations if so how much and who sells them?

Would be great if the wet weather gear can still fit on as well. (not that the wet weather gear will be used on track, before anyone comments)

Thanks

Terry

SPA design ones seam to be the best but are expensive. Caterham Midlands do them with exhaust brackets to hold them on the rollcage. they are about £80 for the centre and £30 each for the sides.

Seconded for the SPA ones... i use mine for road and track day use and find the convex versions best although abit more expensive. You can get them here www.spa-uk.co.uk/design/mirrors.asp or at GPR and DemonTweeks etc,

Racetech - cheaper than spa - non-convex give truer view of what's behind - you can mount them on the windscreen stanchion and by careful measuring, of the hole, you can still get the doors on and off. You just missed a pair on Blatchat IIRC

Wouldn't worry about the truer image, you need coverage to get a feel for what is behind you rather than looking backwards when your going forwards.

Spa's are great, I use one on drivers side then the large convex on the pass side, get full coverage. There are some big convex ones in the GPR catalogue that one or two of the Roadsports guys use.

By the way you academy guys should be posting these on the Caterham race forum, http://forum.caterhamracing.com/

See you at Aintree.....

Sorry, misread his comment - I'd agree, Spa give better coverage on-track
