If, at your age, you really do know that you want one, that feelnig won't go away - it'll be an itch that you will need to scratch. Whether you choose to scratch it when you are able to drive, or at a later stage in your life, you will not be disappointed. They really are as good as they seem.
If you live near a location where Lotus 7 Club people meet, you should go along - they'll all be like minded (well most of them at any rate) and only too willing to talk to you about the cars and take you out for a run. Check out www.blatchat.com for locations and lots of useful (and not so useful) info!
I notice that you have a picture of a Zonda in your profile - exquisite car too and one I'd like to add to my stable - maybe once my son has finished his expensive schooling (well, I can dream!)

They are actually called CaterHams (after the town in Surrey where they were originally built). The factory is now in Kent, although Caterham Cars still have a large showroom in Caterham town centre.
It's great that you find these cars interseting. Why not try and persuade your mum or dad to take you to one of the upcoming race meetings that include Caterham classes. Castle Coombe and maybe even Thruxton are within reasonable distance of Bristol and I am sure there will be numerous rounds of the various Caterham based championships taking place at these circuits throughout the 2007 season.
In fact, this year, there are EIGHT separate Caterham based race series running in the UK.
