with the 7 club.

Anyone here going? I 'think' my place is secured... would be good to know if any other PHers are planning to attend...

Just to let you know that if you have not had your cheque back, then you are in.

IE no news is good news.

Just in case you wonder who I am, I am the other club rep for the Surrey area.

Oh and if anybody wants to come and watch you are very welcome.

I'll be there all day... I will be the clueless muppet in the bright red car with black noseband (assuming it's the only one with that colour on the day)... come and say hi...

I'll be there, for the first time in my own car, driving in the morning and marshalling in the afternoon. As was suggested for the Brands Hatch day, how about putting our Nicknames on the cars?

Just to let you know, if you want to drive the "Top Gear Circuit" you will need a crash helmet. We do have some that you can use, but if you have your owen then bring it with you.

We will also have a very special raffle prise as well, for both the AM and PM people. ( a clue it is red, and has a 4 in it)

Oh and remember to have your paper work ready, as it is my wife who will be checking you in yikes.

I've Blatmailed Steve with the link to this.
I think he'll normally call one of the people on the reserve list.
That's how I was lucky enough to get in the first time.

Cheers susser, though I've actually already called Steve, and he said the reserves had already been called due to other drop-outs...

I'm trying to borrow a 7 at the mo, but I dont rate my chances!

thanks again

Didn't see you. Did you make it ?
I was wearing my susser plates. Spent some of the time in another car whilst daughter/her boyfriend were in mine.

Susser,
I was the guy handing out the timers on the 0-60 and ratting on your daughter when she hit the rev-limiter. You should have had a badge on! (Or maybe you did - I wasn't wearing my reading specs scratchchin)

F355GTS was there and posted some impressive times in the morning session. FTD as far as I am aware.

And for anyone who is interested a number of people have posted photos on Blatchat, including 733 yes 733 here www.213-04.com/t.asp?Id=131778.

Thanks to all involved, especially to Doug, Steve and John for organising the hot laps in the F40 that I won and missed in the raffle, and then experienced after all. bow

Maybe we should wear out ID tatooed on our foreheads in a kind of humerous back to front written in the mirror kind of way.
My daughter has only passed her test about a month. For two weeks of that, I've had her little Fester in bits so she hasn't done a lot of practice. She suggested she could drive the Caterham. "What !!" I splutters. "You must be joking !!", but then thought "Oh what the hell, it's only a machine." so I'm not going to nail her to the wall for rev limiting and flat spotting my AO48Rs. Come to think of it, maybe I will.

Susser,
She was obviously very confident to bounce it off the limiter. As I recall her times steadily improved throughout the afternoon, as did her boy-friend's. There were a good few youngsters and WAGs there and it was really good to see them all growing in confidence and improving their technique as the day wore on. If only I could say the same about myself

"She was obviously very confident to bounce it off the limiter."
She is obviously very confident that my engineering skills know no limits.
Just wait 'till I get my hands on her Fester. I'll give her rev limits.
Arf arf.

But seriously, it was great to see everone having so much fun.
I thank you and the rest of the team for making it happen.
