Help!!! Cannot find any CR500's!!

Can anyone help, MOT due next week and I know I need at least one tyre! (Have already purchased one new one, need another now!) The place where I have brought the first one, no longer stocks them!

The tyre is:

AVON CR500 (195/45 R15) and the Speed Rating is 78V (Standard on the R300)

Please e-mail me if you have any ideas on where I can get one from. I paid circa £90+Vat for the last one!

Go to a less 'strict' MOT centre?!

First port of call if you're desperate is probably Caterham Cars. Otherwise, get some A048R's... a whole set probably costs less than 1 CR500

caterham do them for £86 each. Big advantage over AO48R's is they work in the wet.

Had to go 'tail between legs' to Caterham! (£86 + Vat) oh and £14 Delivery to Hampshire.

Have to say, I called Avon (thats the tyres, not the cosmetics company...couldn't imagine a well manicured female that fits tyres... would be nice though! ) and even they told me to buy through Caterham!!! Couldn't argue with that!

Thanks for all the advice guys! Next time I will look before I leap (or post a query!)

Caterham season coming soon though so need the car 100% for some spring/early summer blatting!

Speak too (not email ) George Polley Motorsport. Steve Polley has always been very helpful, next day delivery etc for a v small fee. He carries all Yokohama types suited for 7's plus he very often has a good range of slightly used CR500's at very low prices. Worth a call just too see what he has available.
