Cue the most sleepless of sleepless nights tonight and an unbearably tedious hour on the train to Tunbridge Wells for collection.

It'll all be worth it though, just as soon as the harness is clipped together and I crank the engine over for the first time cloud9 . I've spent most of this week planning a splendid route for the return leg, zig-zagging along the North Downs for a happy hour or two with a few totally unnecessary diversions under the Thames for good measure thumbup

Hmmm....Blackwall, Dartford or Rotherhithe?

As it's my first flirtation with Caterhams, I haven't gone for anything too extreme. It's a '96 1.4 Supersport with a 6 speed....in white with lovely carbon bits! Number 15 of a Limited series of 30. It has an LSD and quick-rack to make it a little more special, not to mention more fun on those wet roundabouts!

There one picture of it on my profile. I take some more tomorrow if the sun shows itself.

13 hours to go...

Ha ha i (almost) know the feeling
My dad went to pick up his (first) in sept last year, a Red '03 Roadsport 140.
That was a nice trip up to Kingston!
Have to say felt very nice getting in and going flying off!
Have fun!

A sweet way into ownership.

Really great little car with a great spec by the sounds - classic. Try not to "upgrade" it!

Well that was a truly superb shakedown! Got a bit wet and got a few surprises but managed to keep it on the road and not resort to driving with the roof up. Got plenty of funny looks but I had better get used to that! Still trembling as I type this, you should have seen me trying to put the key in the ignition earlier - I was needing beta blockers!

People do say you shouldn't meet your childhood hero's for fear of disappointment, but I'm bl**dy glad I've driven mine

Good to hear you are enjoying your new car got mine in August and have not looked back since but be warned all short trips turn into slightly longer trips before you realise the whole days gone
