Caterham Hand Brake Cable

Bought a Caterham 7 a few months ago. I fitted a new rear brake caliper to my rear near side wheel recently. But I cannot get the hand brake cable to hook onto the 'arm' of the hand brake assembly of the caliper. I know it sounds lame - but trust me its a bleedin' nightmare.

I am new to Caterham ownership. I cannot see how to slacken the hand brake cable to give me enough length to hook the cable over the arm. Any suggestions??? Any help much appreciated.

Cable adjuster is on the left side above the nose of the diff. If you look above the drive shaft towards the rear of the transmission tunnel you should be able to see it.
