I've just fitted some change up lights and when they're showing 6,000 the rev counter is showing 6,400rpm! Does anyone know if this is likely to be an innacuracy in the rev counter or are my change up lights not working quite right? I've taken the change up lights off my previous race car, where they tied up with the rev counter perfectly. My 7 is an '03 1.6 K series.

I fitted the Aces change up lights to my 1800K, they match the rev counter exactly, had the limit on them changed by the company, as I bought them from a bloke who had a SLR which revs a little more

I have an '06 academy car soon to be in Roadsport spec for next season
The rev counters are normally pretty good its the speedos that are usually out because of different tyres used.

My rev counter was all to pot. They are adjustable via DIL switches at the back. If I adjusted it to read somewhere near at low revs, it was miles out at the top end, and vice-versa. I changed it for a Stack ST200.

Yes, the rev counter on my VVC was fine. How strange. I spoke to CC Midlands today and they did seem a little perplexed by it.

Looking forward to seeing you on the grid next year by the way I'm totally new to Caterham racing, and have recently bought a Roadsport race car to race next season. I haven't driven it yet, so I can't wait to see what it's like!

We will be racing against each other I believe. Also my brothers racing in the same series for a 2nd year.

I also spoke to Caterham midlands today but that was about all my new suspension to upgrade the car

Who's car have you bought by the way?

I've bought Ron Johnson's car, after I saw it for sale at the Brands Hatch meeting in October. Quite a bit of customisation needed though as I'm a lot shorter than he was! I'm hoping to drive it at Silverstone next Thursday, but that's weather dependant - if not, then there's a test day at Brands in early December. I had a road going Caterham for three years, so I can't wait to see how the racing version compares!
