Has anyone fitted anything other than a Caterham or Tillet seat into a narrow-bodied 7?

You could try making a foam seat to suit your specific shape and driving position. Have you got a problem though with the standard seats?

Joachim at Mog makes seats - fid him thru Fluke Motorsport in the UK. Playskool also makes seats that fit in a Caterham too. Note that both these resemble Tillets and as such will be just as tight in the beam. Tillet make a wider seat for the SV but it won't fit your car. If you're too tight for the car, try a bench seat - that's the only way MURPH7355 can fit in his car

I just use a moulded foam backrest, then sit straight on the floor, with a shaped 'wedge' supporting my thighs. Works fine. I've got a narrow bodied car and am 6'5" and 19 stone. If I can fit, anyone can!! hehe

I've got some from Magnum Motorsport in mine, on account of me being too tight to but the Caterham ones (£85 each) hehe

Or why not use a 2 pack foam one. Plenty of info on them on Caterham race forums roadsports.co.uk graduates.org.uk etc
