Ok so we all presumably saw the 7 feature on Sunday night with JC doing his best to trash a perfectly good car (you have to love him - to fat to fit? could be the route of his 7 envy) if you didn't its available to watch on bbc.co.uk.

But what was the Stig doing in a petrol station? OK it was a fun feature but i still dont see a CSR or even Superlight time on the lap board.

Lets get a petition started to get the Stig on a hot lap and show the £100k+ boys a thing or two about power to weight and wallet to performance ratios.

Dont think it will happen. Also, it will only push the price up (quite high already). I'm quite happy with a specialist car, that I know what it will do, but others don't. Look at the way porsche has gone? Would you want that to happen to Caterham?

From an owners perspective, I want the company to persist and focus on core strengths, that wont happen when everyone knows what one is, and how fast it is.

bit negative h underscore old chap!!!

has the ariel atom gone up in price after getting up near the top of the lap board?

Just for sheer interest's sake, I'd love to see stig lap in a 7... The top gear boys bang on about track driving enough...

Fair point, but I *think* atom residuals have improved as the car gets established (havent they?). A new CSR is well out of my reach now :-(.

i was up at CML the other day getting some stuff fixed/done and speaking to them it seems they are very keen to get stig in the csr asap - hoping for a top 5 on the board.

I'm hoping to see that lap soon.

And as an owner if it pushes up the brand a bit more we'll all see an increase in our beloved toys too, so you'll have a bigger deposit when buying the new toy
