I repacked my silencer (raceco) approx 4 trackdays ago and whilst i was repacking it i noticed a hole in the central 'gause' on the central shaft that had blown a hole in the wadding.

I now have a very tarnished spot on the silencer which i think has been caused by this hole. Can the gause be patched? or do i need to buy a new shaft?

dannylt - is this under warranty??????

Cheers

Barry

Hi Barry,

Blimey - how many track days have you done in your new - car you certainly don't hang around! I'm sure if you contact Ammo he can get you some more gauze - definitely don't think you need a new pipe. See you at Oulton next saturday!

Barry I've got loads of wadding - are you going to Rockingham on the Friday 30th, if so I can bring some - I've got a tarnish spot too with the Raceco - it will polish out but recurs when the exhaust gets hot again

dave,

thanks for the offer but i have sorted it now, managed to get a new central shaft of Ammo, the old one was too sooted up to weld a new gause onto. Got some wadding from Demon tweeks!

It knocked a good few DB off the static when i got it noise tested at Oulton on saurday, lets just hope it lasts.

I will be at rockingham on the Sunday, not the Friday

May see you at Spa?

Cheers again

Barry
