Umbrella wearing Caterham

So which one of you guys was parked up on the A38 near Lichfield in the sudden hailstorm, top off, holding an umbrella!? Wish I'd had a camera! Good effort, mind.

Stopped with umbrella up - might as well buy a tin top ! Driving in all weathers is character building and I speak from considerable recent experience having driven through a similar hail storm in Kent yesterday - could barely see in front of me, wipers could cope but heh it gave others drivers something to smile about.

I've got to say in all but the hardest rain, if you are making progress the rain doesnt seem to get in much!

I find above 50mph not much comes into the car. Not much use when I was caught in a downpour driving through the middle of Skipton (30 limit) Still, it gave everyone else something to laugh at

clearly your sedatives must not be in effect. i never get wet at 100mph in the rain, or i'm concentrating so bloody hard i don't notice

Yeah, if you keep moving it's fine. I did a couple of hours up the M1 in winter rain without getting wet. Until I hit a traffic jam.
