Thinking about a respray whilst I am rebuilding this old Caterham and was wondering what makes best sense: Thinking of going caterham black so should I spray my old BRG rearwings and nosecone, or should I buy a new set in gelcoat from Caterham? I have a set of carbon front wings so they will stay like that.

So what are the economics of respray vs new bits? the waters are muddied a bit with the abuse the rear wings get being peppered with stonechips so it does make sense to go black gelcoat new wings to avoid old colour showing thru. Also I am worried about the new nosecone fittings on a 1992 chassis.

Nose cones are different but can be made to fit. Caterham probably have a stock of old style ones anyway

Gelcoat will probably work out cheaper, but a paint finish is usually nicer

Where abouts are you, I'd be happy to give you a quote
